Just came home from work, put the stereo on and checked my emails. 10 minutes later I realised that I had been listening to Bob Dylan for 10 minutes without realising it. Rich had left the CD in and I'd just played what was in there. I guess he can't be that bad if I didn't notice and have to turn the CD off. Just had a look at the album cover to see which one it is - it's 'slow train coming' - much more tuneful than the CD I blogged about a few months ago. Still, now I've realised Im going to have to take it out and put on something else.....

Well, its a strange album to get you into Bob Dylan as, of the dozen or so Dylan albums I own, I reckon Slow Train Coming's the worst. But keep listening to Bob! His new album (Modern Times) is awesome. It'll get you soon...
Slow Train Coming is pretty good but doesn't beat Blood on the Tracks or Desire for his 70's stuff.
He's a slow grower, Bob Dylan, because the best things in his music are different to what you listen to inother other stuff, i.e. don't look for the beauty in his tone of voice. Same could be said for Ian Brown, Bobby Gillespie, any of my favourite bands live...
