Maybe they are long because nobody who's there has a clue what they're supposed to achieve? Achievable goals and all that.....
Since being in my new job I have upped the ante for lengthy meetings. Every other meeting at the Anglican Communion lasts more than three days. I kid you not.
(Have to admit it's usually quite interesting, though, so think you have the worse deal with PCC......)
